This review is of Netflix on PS3 using a speacial Disc from Netflix that you use on your PS3 to access Netflix from PS3. If/when they change it to be on system firmware & not Disc i will review again if necessary or any big changes.

Besides having to put a disc in your PS3 everytime you want to use Netflix on your PS3 it runs great. Its fast & responsive & only took 5 sec to buffer & never had any problems or lag. Once its intergraded on PS3 then i will give it a 10/10 & they do need a bigger selection but i loves 80's movies & Tv shows so i get a lot of what i want.

You do need a PC to activate your PS3 witch is only done once after that you can add movies to your "Q" using PS3 browser - unfortunitly it cant be done while in Netflix on PS3 but you can see your "Q" plus the Genre of Movies & also has Tv shows.

I have the $8.99 package witch gives me one Movie by mail & unlimited streaming movies/Tv shows plus i added Bluray for a extra $2 - So $11.99 i get one DVD/Bluray in mail & unlimited streaming Movies/Tv Shows - best deal other than downloading them illigaly & it beats PSN prices.igaly & it beats PSN prices.

how do you get the cd?

I'd so get it if i was available in Canada. Unlimited movies for 8.99? With HD quality? Heck, it makes the Movie Network On Demand look like a JOKE.

I dont think EU and ASIA have it so i cant get it

yeah sorry guys its U.S. only - To get disc you just go to www.netflix.com/PS3 to request one - I been watching Movies & TV shows using netflix a lot - i havn't even bothered watching cable cause netflix has better pic. quality so im canceling cable on wensday

i have 2 ps3s and one is EU version and the other is Asia. i dont think the disc will work...maybe ony on US versions

i dont know if it will work on diff. region PS3 since its a disc you might be able to use if someone in U.S. can send you a disc & a account to use & try but it might be region locked on disc??????

i dont know i dont wanna buy it and then it wont work

They should offer this in Canada, especially if it's being streamed. It's not like they need to ship it. We have the "not so identical" ZIP.CA...

I'd definitely be interested in this service if it was available in the UK. The Playstation store videos are a bit of a rip-off IMO plus you can't export them. I guess I'll be sticking to downloading torrents to my PS3 for the time being...

im sure they dont offer outside U.S. due to the differance in the ratings & laws. A movie in U.S. can be rated R but in another country be rated Mature so thats probally why its U.S. only

I'm sure you're right but still it'd be nice to see a service like this in the UK whether it's Netflix or from someone else. The main thing is getting the price point right. Now that DVDs are so cheap a download or streaming service has to be competitively priced.
